It's a nice Spring morning, here in Colby.  Time to get ready for the upcoming Spring Events.  Our product line is continuing to increase with the addition of cheesecake mixes.  I have a variety of them including Lemon and Chocolate Chip.

Our Dip Mixes continue to be popular sellers.  These are my own recipes and I am already thinking of some new mixes to add to our line.

Our PrairieFire coffee has some new flavors, including Vienesse Cinnamon,  which is a mild cinnamon coffee,  and Highlander Grogg has a rich caramel flavor.  These are just two of the new flavors, I will highlight more in my next post.

The Meal mixes are also gaining popularity  This Spring we will be selling Chili Burgers at two area Rod Runs in the area.  We will also have our full product line available for purchase at these shows.

Wow I can't believe it's August already. I am starting to schedule my show schedule. Check back in a few weeks, I should have it posted. This week. I am ordering supplies to start making dip mixes and working on a new package design. Have a great rest of the summer!

WHAT'S HAPPENNING AT NANA"S COMFORT FOODS

Wow it has been a whirlwind three weeks,  I attended the Simply Kansas workshop in Wakeeney and learned a lot.  I really appreciate their encouragement and assistance.  It it good to meet with other owners of Kansas Businesses and get to know what is going on in the state with small businesses.  Look for the Simply Kansas logo when you shop and support these local endeavors.

We headed into new territory with  our products.  We attended UTICA Days in Utica Kansas and the First Annual Spring Fling in Scott City, Kansas.  We were welcomed and people loved the products.  It is good to meet new customers and share  our products with them.

We also participated in the Girl's Day Out in Oakley, KS.  People said they were waiting on the event to buy more products.  That is a great feeling and I appreciate the continued support.

New Products

Today is packaging day. I created a new dip mix yesterday. Sweet Red Pepper & Onion, not sure if it will make its's debut this weekend, still need to design the packaging. The sweet red bell pepper flavor really comes out in it. Hope to have it available soon. Well I better get to work.  Also I am now available on Facebook.  Come be a friend to keep up on the lastest news.  I am having a contest, check it out.  Hope to see you Saturday in Utica.

It's Spring!!

 Hope everyone had a good winter and are ready for Spring.  I know that I am.  I had a busy winter, my dad is doing much better and now is at home. 

I will be attending 3 events.  Make sure you look at my post regarding these in the upcoming events session.  I have been comptemplating some new recipes.  I will let you know what they are really soon.  Hope to see you at some of the events.

Hi Update on my Dad

Several have asked me about my Dad, just wanted to let you know he is doing so much better, and hopefully will be able to get out of the hospital in a few weeks.  Thank you all for all your prayers. 

Hopefully things will settle down real soon.  I have been pondering on some new recipes, including a mix for a veggie strata.  I made the first one this weekend, it needs a little re-vamping but will be yummy.  Just by adding eggs and milk, and baking for 30 minutes you will have a quick breakfast/brunch whipped up real quick.

New Product Line!!

I am so excited to announce I am now a distributor of PrairieFire Coffees.  They have an array of regular and flavored coffees.  I will begin having them at the events I participate in.  My first shipment of coffee will include, Pumpkin Spice, Irish Cream, Buttered Rum, Holiday Memories, English Toffee, Vanilla Nut, Double Nut, Cinnamon, Chocolate Raspberry and Chocolate Almond.  Quanities on hand are limited, but I can order more.  If you are interested contact me.  I can't wait, they are so good, we love them.  I am sure you will too, if you like coffee.

Time is going fast!!

I can't believe it is just a few weeks until Thanksgiving.  Wow time is going fast, before we know it Christmas will be here.  Its been a few weeks since I have written anything, been too busy making product, and going to fairs.

I will be at Norton this coming weekend, Come see us.  If you like craft fairs the drive to Norton is well worth it.  They usually have seven different locations for craft fairs, there is quite a crowd that attend.   I will be located at the Armory, stop by and say hi.

The most popular sellers the last couple weeks have been:
1.  Bacon Cheddar Cheese
2.  Bacon Chili Cheese
3.  Spinach/Red Bell Pepper
4.  Mexican Fiesta
5.  Smoky Chipotle Ranch

I have also seen the sales on the cakes in a cup pick up.  These make great gifts for teachers, secret sisters, the paper boy, or anyone you want to give a small gift.  This year I have 2 flavors, Milky Way and Cinnamon Bun.  These are cooked in the microwave in 2 minutes, and they taste really good.

I will post a new recipe later,  I think I will post some cheese ball/appetizer recipes.  These make great additions to your next get together or a snack while watching your favorite football team play.
