Time is going fast!!

I can't believe it is just a few weeks until Thanksgiving.  Wow time is going fast, before we know it Christmas will be here.  Its been a few weeks since I have written anything, been too busy making product, and going to fairs.

I will be at Norton this coming weekend, Come see us.  If you like craft fairs the drive to Norton is well worth it.  They usually have seven different locations for craft fairs, there is quite a crowd that attend.   I will be located at the Armory, stop by and say hi.

The most popular sellers the last couple weeks have been:
1.  Bacon Cheddar Cheese
2.  Bacon Chili Cheese
3.  Spinach/Red Bell Pepper
4.  Mexican Fiesta
5.  Smoky Chipotle Ranch

I have also seen the sales on the cakes in a cup pick up.  These make great gifts for teachers, secret sisters, the paper boy, or anyone you want to give a small gift.  This year I have 2 flavors, Milky Way and Cinnamon Bun.  These are cooked in the microwave in 2 minutes, and they taste really good.

Just a reminder,  leave a review on a product you have tried  or a way you used a product to create a new recipe and receive a discount on your next purchase.  Be sure to include your name and address so I can send the discount, email addresses will also work.

I will post a new recipe later,  I think I will post some cheese ball/appetizer recipes.  These make great additions to your next get together or a snack while watching your favorite football team play.

Have a blessed week.

GIRLS DAY OUT REVIEW

The day started out a little treachous, Icy roads, crazy drivers, we were headed to Oakley, 22 miles away on I 70.  We took it slow and I was grateful we didn t have far to go.  I started to worry and be a little nervous.  Would there be a good turnout?  Would we make it without going into the ditch?  I quickly turned those thoughts and words into prayer.  We made it to Oakley, literally sliding in to town. Time to put the finishing touches on our booth.   We had our first sale ten minutes after we arrived, but then it got slow for a bit, I was beginning to fret, but quickly chose to trust God for the outcome.  Business picked up, we had a wonderful day, seeing old friends, meeting new customers, listening to comments about our dips after they would try a sample.  In the end we exceeded our sales from the year before.  God did exceedingly above what I had asked or thought.  Sometimes it is hard to put into words, how awesome God is, he truly continues to amaze me even in the little things.  It all begins with choosing to trust him.

Our next event is in two weeks in Garden City, we will be at a two day craft and antique fair.  Hope to see you there.  Have a great day.

It's a new day!!!

This is the first day of a new adventure for me. I thought I would try creating this blog.  Just to let you know a little about Nana's Comfort Foods.  It is  Home Based Business that was started 4 years ago in Oct.  I started out with four recipes and also made lighted glass blocks with designs on them.  Jim (my husband) and I decided to go to the Colby Fall Festival Craft Fair.  We had made 100 packages of dip and sold out the first day of the fair.  We spent the first fall/winter craft fair season going to a few craft fairs.    I created 4 more dip mixes that winter.  The results were amazing!!  So that was the beginning of the business for us.  If you want to check out my website for a sampling of what I have here is the link   http://www.nanascomfortfoods.etsy.com/
Well it's time to get busy making some dip, I have a booth this Saturday at the Girl's Day Out Event in Oakley KS, if you are in the area stop by they put on a nice event.  Come try a sample of dip, I will feature my newest dip Bacon Cheddar Cheese, (this sold out last weekend in Hays).

Watch for more updates and recipes.  Well, its time to get back to work.

Remember  "I can do ALL things Through CHRIST who STRENGTHENS Me. Phillipians 4:13.
Only through Christ do I have the Ability to do this.  BE BLESSED!
